Kharkiv Zajazz Fest

A Printed Report on the International Jazz Festival

The Kharkiv jazz festival Kharkiv Zajazz Fest is considered to be the "most stylish" festival in Ukraine. Jazz has gone beyond musical style and become a symbol of good taste. This became the concept of a democratic festival, which played a wide variety of music from the mainstream to the avant-garde. The goal of the International Festival Kharkiv Zajazz Fest 2008, which became the first event in this format, was to designate Kharkiv as a city ready to host large-scale events. It was and remains one of the most important midpoints of contemporary art.

In 2008 the festival brought together a record number of world and Ukrainian jazz stars on a single platform. Ron Carter and Martial Solal, Jed Levy, and John Wolf Brennan were among the brightest headliners of the event.

We collected and systematized all the facts, data, and information, counted absolutely everything that was related to the festival - from the number of advertising seconds to soap bubbles...

Our task was to create a brochure about the festival for sponsors, partners, and those who were not able to attend it. It was important to reflect the emotional and eventful heaps of what was happening in a single place and format. We managed to make it in pictures and numbers: collected and systematized all the facts, data, and information, counted absolutely everything that was related to the festival - from the number of advertising seconds to soap bubbles.

For our team, this was the first experience of working with events. It turned out to be a great opportunity to meet the outstanding jazz players and enthusiasts who were united for the development of Kharkiv.
